We all trust Activa because of Honda brand. When I bought Honda Activa 125, my friend bought all new suzuki access. I like both the scooters.
In new activa, pickup was good but no good as suzuki access. I find it more stable on high speed than suzuki on highways. Also this scooter has good top range as I was getting good hold on highways despite suzuki access has more low range power as it gives lot more pick up.
Both scooters have good mileage if you break-in engine well. I find suzuki access to give more mileage than activa. It was 47km/l on highways on activa and 56km/l on access.
Top speed it more on activa 125 @ 98km/h+. And suzuki access to hit apporx @ 90km/h
Things I don’t like in activa= Bouncy suspension. Somewhat bulky design at rear. Less boot space. You have to use aftermarket headlight if u drive your scooter in night. Not much punchier engine, no charging(doesn’t matters if u have power bank)
Things I like in activa= Good pickup. Good top speed(despite I hear from many that it was less than 90. Thing matters is the proper break-in method). Good stability. Excellent design and nice build quality. with Anasultanlog digital console.and nice breaks thanks to cbs with disc brake.
Both scooter offers same quality of handling.
Things I like in suzuki access 125 2016= Punchier engine, excellent pick, lighter than activa about 8 kgs. good mileage thanks to new SEP technology, great boot space. More feature loaded. Nice mileage. More big seat and leg space. good suspension. Full metal design
Things I don’t like:- Design(good retro design but not suits me), Not so good top speed( I was expecting to 100), charging space is good but might fail when it rains/splash, not so good brake. Panels gaps are more than expected.(Metal)
Pricing:- Access is cheaper than activa wrt dics and drum option.
Verdict:- Suzuki has almost outdone acitva in most of areas but still I don’t like bad looks of that scooter. Also in my area, suzuki dealers don’t have that hold like honda has. I bought activa because it is more famous than access and still got some more resell value than access. But if you ask me, access is better than activa practically if u buy this for your whole family. Activa is also ok but access is more practical scooter. For me, almost 6 feet, activa suits better than access.
Advise:- If u are young and want a scooter for street racing, first of all it’s a very bad idea, other thing, it you can’t control yourself than buy yamaha ray zx. has top speed of 110 km/h and reach above 100km/h even with pillion rider. but please street are not for racing purpose and wear riding gears while riding. still hold good mileage
For mileage:- go for 1 jupiter or 2 activa 3g(best option)
