After using Activa 110 for 6 years with its bumpy ride, limited speed but reliable honda product, I decided to go for Activa 125. Few reasons for selling Activa110:
My father rides 100cc model of Activa and he used to complain about the heavy handle of 110cc model. I myself was scared of uneven roads while driving Activa110, the scooter used to punish me for all the bad roads(passing almost all jerks to rider). With pillion of around 50-65 kg it looses the sprightly character(runs dull). Limited speed - at time you have the throttle at its max but speed is only 65. Mileage of 45 in general.
The day I rode Activa125 for the first time, I was thrilled with the comfort it provides to the rider.
The telescopic suspension at front makes a huge difference. Even the rear suspension was more accommodating.
Mind-boggling acceleration till you reach 60kmph.
Mileage - 42 to 46 is ideal conditions.
Seat: better, broader than previous versions of Activa. After 2 riders, it still has good space left.
Easy main stand(although I never saw/heard honda claiming that they have equipped an easier main stand in this model like TVS Zest claims)
Strong metallic body - take on very bad roads and it will sail with confidence.
With a pillion rider it still is quick and the suspension now seems perfect when carrying around 70+70 Kg weight.
Brakes: The best part of Activa125 is that Dlx model comes with disk brakes and I must admit that combo braking and disk at front gives me a very confident braking experience.
Honda reliability also makes this vehicle a favourite.
Some of the sour points:
The handlebar vibrates(usually) - a lot. For the first month I was finding it irritating. During my first service when I complained about the handle vibration, the engineer at Honda workshop gave me another Activa125 to try and it was almost the same.
After driven 1000km, I dont feel such high vibrations any more(or I am used to that now). But this problem is not with Activa110 and Access125.
Dlx model does not have brake lock
For starting the vehicle, you will have to apply the brakes very very hard then only it starts, it does not have the usual - touch the brake, the electric circuit completes and your self start works. Here even when the brake light circuit is complete(you see brake light) but without pressing it hard, the starter button does not work - this as per the workshop engineer isadditional precaution Honda has employed to avoid problems with this fast accelerating machine.
I hope these points help you in your decision of choosing your vehicle. Cheers.
