Don't buy it.

I got attracted to all the hoopla and marketing by Honda and bought this scooter Activa 125 and I am dissatisfied for the following reasons:-

The price is just too high and if you choose a disk brake it goes to almost 81000 including standard accessories.  With helmet and a full body cover it might reach 83 to 85 thousand rupees on road.

The dealer staff is pathetic in customer service and don’t care about the customer once the payment is done or sale is complete.  They don’t care about the delivery, and you have to follow up with them to get the delivery.

The design:  it’s nothing great and the front looks quite stupid with a huge silver thing which is too gaudy.  It’s a plate which is pathetic looking.   You have no option any way if you want a 125 cc from Honda.

The body balance of the bike is not proper especially if you are with someone sitting behind you as pillion.  The rider has to have enough body weight to keep the scooter stable.

The mileage will be around 40 to 46 kilometres that too if you ride without haste.

The ignition doesn’t work unless you pull the brake too hard which is difficult for women.

Considering that the shock absorbers of Activa 110 are not that great, here you have a telescopic suspension only in the front wheel and which is the only good thing in this bike.  Moreover,  Mahindra Gusto also offers telescopic suspension but in 110 cc for less than 60 thousand on road.  I am not a Gusto fan because I haven’t used it yet. There are many options today and if you wait for a few months there will be even more options.

Suzuki access 125 cc is also available if you want 125 cc and is a proven vehicle.  It gives a mileage of around 40 to 46 kms too. Off late Honda dealers are so arrogant that they think they have a monopoly.  They always show off to the customer that one has to wait for the scooter for 40 days after booking it which is a farce.  It’s a marketing technique to give you a missing-out feeling.  This makes you feel that the bike is so good that it needs a waiting period.

Very soon Honda might become like Nokia or Blackberry and Motorola looking for customers desperately the day some Indian brand like Mahindra or TVS launches a great range of scooters of 125 cc and above.

Many Dealers of Honda are known to be unprofessional. Just because of advertisements don’t fall for this brand.
