]I have read a lot of good reviews but still I am here to express my discomfort with my Honda expperience. I bought a Honda Activa after looking at their ads where they assured a mileage of 60kmpl, I even paid an on premium of 5000 to get immediate delivery as all dealers said 12month waiting. In total I paid 64000 for a Honda in May2013 which cost 54000(inclusive of 5000 premium and guards cost). Well my first service was with Honda dealer Yash Auto, Mumbai who took the free service slip and again 2 services were with him.
I shuffled between them and 21 Honda.
To begin, I made numerous complaints that the bike never gave a mileage of more than 30kmpl(pathetic) and it could not be solved. Basically the company Honda cheated and played with customers misleading them with false promises of 60kmpl in ads.
never got solved.
The engine made a lot of vibration and noise but that was never solved;
In continuing with my agony and pain, the engine ceased finally within the warranty period but Honda as always has gone from its warranty commitment and not honoured restoring the bike. The reason for this is as they say that Yash Auto is not their partner(why do you encourage people to stock your product through connivance with authorised dealers, as they get the consignment from your factory dispatch, to black market and create false demand.)
Being a japanese manufacturer, I am shocked that you have such flawed ways. I know the japanese are men of their word.
I will fight for my right and continue to do so or end up burning the product to create awareness of how companies take advantage of their customers in India.
This would never happen in a foreign land, why cant our authorities be more proactive and address these issues. The customer gives up before he can start actioning thinking of a large corporation and their legal entities and doesnt want any more hardship.
I wish we all learn to fight for our right.
oh and I forgot to mention the 21 Service team on inspecting the engine said oil was not there, well they had serviced the bike only a month ago.
I spoke to few other owners who service their bike at regular workshops not authorised and they were happier simply cause they know whats happening with the service.
And the company anyways doesnt care so what is the point of going through high maintenance services where all they do is recommend oil changes when clearly an oil change can be after 5000kms.
Its all about making the money in an authorised service, I have lived with engines and can honestly say that forget the warranty(as they wont honour it), go for a good mechanic not a money making authorised who may just wash your bike and return it.
Its a sham.
Hero Honda was a better company than Honda and do you know the Hero and Honda share same engines but have a huge difference in pricing. Dont go by the name in India, its the same technology branded differently.
As for me my battle continues.
