Activa 4G Review !!

Being an owner of Activa 3G as well, I will mainly focus on points which are different and improved on Activa 4G when compared to Activa 3G.

Engine and performance : -

First let’s talk about the engine of the vehicle which is a 2 valve motor giving a power output of 8ps and 9nm and is air cooled and runs on carburetor fuelling system.

Talking about practical usage, Honda never intended to make thier scooters with powerful engines. It’s that Honda wanted a daily commuter scooter for daily city rides.

Its a peppy engine as seen on earlier generation of Activa but it is that it’s just more refined than earlier and vibrations does not kick until the rider reaches upto 60 kmph.

And one of the major change is that it is now BSIV compliant. Overall its a great engine for city usage and bumper to bumper traffic.

It gives an averge of about 45-50 kmpl depending on the usage.

Build quality, design and features : -

Well talking about design it remains pretty much the same as earlier Activa but there is no on/off switch for the headlamps which always remain on due to BSIV compliance.

Build quality is stiffened up a little bit but one of the worst thing about Activa is that It still doesn’t come with front telescopic forks but combi brake is standard. Comfort is good as always for two passengers and Honda is one of the most reliable brands in India.

Tyres and suspension - :

Tyres provide good grip on the roads and I think they should have stiffened the suspension on back because it is too soft and front suspensions does the job good.

Also one of the new features on Activa is that It comes with an optional charging socket on boot which I think good should provided it as a standard feature.

I know there is no Major changes but should you consider Activa 4g over Activa 3g ?

Absolutely, not

But for the first Buyers,

I think they should definitely consider Activa as thier next scooter.
