I purchased new honada activa 4g which is a bs4 compliant variant a month back .earlier also I had a honda activa 2009 version and I was very satisfied with its quality so I upgraded to activa 4g and this is my detailed review after using it for a month.
Looks: looks have changed quite a lot with previous generation models the new model is quite slim and looks a bit more attractive than the previous models, in new model chrome is used in activa logo which adds to its beauty and the new generation models are available in various defferent colors and the best part is that they have started providing matte colors like matte grey, matte black, so overall looks have improved a lot.
Engine: it uses the same 109 cc engine which churns out a power of around 8bhp of power the new engine is a bit more smooth as compared to earlier version but major change in engine department is that the new engine is bs4 compliant and other than that their is no major change in engine departmemt.
Performance: the new variant is more smoother than the earlier one and emits less pollution because its bs4 compliant the combi brake works really very well and the milege that company claims is around 60 but in city I get around45-50 kmpl of milege which I think is quite satosfactory but one may not find any major change in performance.
Service: honda is famous for its wide spread service and honda authorised service stations are available everywhere.
Service charges are niether very high nor very less thay are average and can be easily afforded their are no major service issues with this scooter so it may be called economical for pocket.
Now lets talk about a few negatives of this scooter:
No disc breaks: combi braking provided by honda is good but I personally feel that disc breaks should have been provided atleast as an option.
Morning start issues: sometes it gives problem to start especially in morning and especially that of winter mornings.
No digital console: honda could have provided a digital console as provided by its competitor the analog console looks quite dated.
Thats all and at last I would say that its an overall good vehicle and price have also fallen after gst and its available around 57000 on road in bhopal the price may vary as per location.
Final verdict: a good value for money vehicle.
