I bought the all new Honda Activa 109 cc, silver color at Lodha motors, Tambaram, chennai last month May 15th 2009. Though they said the booking time is 30 days, but the vehicle was available in 20 days. But after I bought, the stocks were more and I think it was readily available without any booking.
I had opted for this bike since they were telling a mileage of 64.5 kmpl. But since I’ve been using it, it has not given me more than 45 kmpl. It is now about 400kms and I have given for the first service. Expecting the mileage to increase after it.
Lodha motors, put extra charges for so many things in addition to the vehicle price like ( service charge, handling charge, regisration charge and don’t know what not). So, the price of the vehicle came around Rs. 49000. without any bumpers and front box.
Though the initial services are free ( honda has reduced the number of free services to 4 from 7 ), Lodha motors is charging Rs.300 for oil change, which is very high comparitively to other honda service stations in chennai.So, even they tell the services are free, we need to shell out a good amount every time.
About the performance of the bike, it is very very good. It is very smooth and very comfortable.On good roads, you feel like flying, its a joy to ride.But if the road is bad with potholes, it is very poor. The front and rear suspension is not that good.
Difference from old activa: The front side bineath the seat is made in fibre/plastic which was metal in the older version. So, the weight of the vehicle has become less. The fibre/plastic part below the tail light in older version has been made in metal.
The front headlight, indicators and tail lights’ design has been changed. front design also is changed. I advice go for the Honda Activa but not at Lodha motors in chennai.

After the first service, the mileage became even less.
