The Honda Activa is engineered a little better than other scooters in its class. It could have certainly done a little better than now on its mileage front and the famous Honda design caliber is certainly missing, though in Indian termsone could say it is reasonably well designed. But in terms of handling and maneuveability, it is definitely up and could compare with some very safe two-wheelers. It seems to be rather rugged and should have a rather long life but I certainly have to gripe on the boot lock. Won’t open after the waters from the rains have flushed it. Caught once in a very embarassing situation, could not show the cops the papers which were there and had to pay a hefty fine.
As for the waiting list I believe that it is just a ploy used by dealers to get some more money for themselves which Honda should check out and if there is short supply in any place meet that supply. It does not behove Honda to hold back on dealer stock as it is not prudent marketing. A few sleek stickers as speed lines will also help the over all styling.
Some feminine colors like lilac, rose pink, etc. will also help in getting the ladies to look more at the scooter.
