Just got an opportunity to share my views on Honda Activa.
Must say that this is really a good bike for the one who doesnt want to do foolish things with the bike.
It has been one month that I using this machine and I think I didnt made a mistake in buying it.
The looks are OK. Mileage is aroung 40/50 km/ltr.
CAUTION ! DO NOT DRIVE THIS BIKE BEYOND 40 KMPH IF THE ROADS DO NOT PERMIT YOU TO DO THAT. ie if the roads have too many potholes like the one in Pune City.
Reason is that the suspensions attached to this bike are not suitable for the Indian roads. I had a very bad experience with the bike. Was deiving at a speed of around 35/40 kmh and a sudden pothole and a BANG ! The tyre got a jam shot and got a bit bebded. The bike is fitted with the tubless tyres with Steel rims. Steel rims on Tubless tyres have a tendendcy to get bended if thery are hit with a high speed. Cornering was hampered and the drive quality was poor. Lost 400 bucks to correct it.
That’s the only probelem with this bike. Otherewise it is the best bike available in the market in non gear segment.
Pick up is good and the reponse to the engine is quite impressive. It comes with a 13 BHP that is enough to carry two people with ease - even on Ghats!
Engine is absolutely silent and gives ultimate pleasure while driving.
Take care of this bike and it can delvier always.
