I own a Honda activa and we all know that the market of scooty in india is very competitive and when we have great competitors such as NTorq, Grazia, aprillia sr 125 and 150 then scooter manufacturer such as honda, hero, tvs have to think a notch above. Such is the outdated honda activa which is selling so much in no. but doesnt offerss the same feature as others.
Talking about the main factors,
( 1) MILAGE : - In city it retains a milage of somewhere around 35 kmpl which is less than the competition.
( 2) COMFORT : - It is a scooter and therefore it is comfortable for sure.
( 3) RELIABLITY : - It is a scooter which sells in huge number therefore its part is easily available and the repair cost is also very less and therefore it is a reliable machine.
( 4) ROAD GRIP : - Being a scooter it is equipped with very small tires therefore the road grip offered by the tires is not even decent. But after upgrading to better Tyres the grip becomes better for sure.
( 5) APPEAL : - As I told you twice that it is a scooter which sells in huge numbers therefore every other scooter which you see is Activa and therefore the appeal is kind of faded now and doesnt appeal anyone that much that it did that time when it was launched and considering the competition making such cooler machines it is kind of became classic.
OVERALL REVIEW : - It is certainly a good machine but doesnt come with so many features and considering the competition giving too much at the same price. One should not buy this and instead of this go for the NTorq, Grazia and maybe the aprilia SR 150.
