I have booked a Honda Activa Delux black on 19.12.2009 through Pilot Honda, Sundetr Baug, Deonar, Mumbai 400 088. At the time of booking the waiting period given was 60-90 days. After 60 days when I checked up with the dealer I was told that they are not accepting the payment because they are not able to tell when they will be able to supply the vehicle due to short supply. I was further told that after making the full payment, it will take 15-20 days for delivery.
This means that I will not get the vehicle even after the maximum waiting period of 90 days which as told to me at the time of booking. I feel that there is an artificial demand being created by the Company or the dealer to gain popularity to the vehicle. This is not a good trend to be supported by the public. Can anyone advice me whether I have a remedy under the Consumer Protection Act? 86 days are already over after my booking the vehicle and paying an advance of Rs.1000/-.I am yet to receive an intimation about making the full payment after which it is likely to take some 10-15 days more to get the vehicle delivered.
Where is the assurance given at the time of booking?
