Activa is now tried & tested and the truth is ??Unfolded??. It is very unfortunate that company like Honda, just make Indians FOOL for the more than two years with the product named ACTIVA. Indian have Brand Fascinations & Honda just capitalized that.
It is clear from the other reviews that the satisfaction level (considering mileage, performance, maintenance cost & dealers service) is very low for that product.
Let?s find the facts behind Activa.
Mileage Test
=========
[ Total Payload 126 kg, Tyre pressure : 21/32, Test Activa completed 5410 km & three service, Each interval calculated on 100 ml petrol consumption on city riding. ]
> speed less than 10 km. Run 3.52 km i.e Mileage 35.2 kmpl.
> speed 10 to 20 km. Run 3.62 km i.e Mileage 36.2 kmpl.
> speed 15 to 25 km. Run 3.41 km i.e Mileage 34.1 kmpl.
> speed 20 to 30 km. Run 3.63 km i.e Mileage 36.3 kmpl.
> speed 25 to 35 km. Run 3.87 km i.e Mileage 38.7 kmpl.
> speed 30 to 40 km. Run 3.92 km i.e Mileage 39.2 kmpl.
> speed 40 to 50 km. Run 4.17 km i.e Mileage 41.7 kmpl.

MAINTENANCE COST

As the technology is imported, so the parts are not available in the open market. U have to order your dealer even for a nuts & don?t astonished if your dealer charge Rs.18/- for that simple NUT. Honda claim that Activa is made by Imported Technology suited for Indian road. If so, then why 60% Activa owner complain about the maintenance hazards. Almost nothing can be fitted in this scooter form your local scooterwalla. So, U have to be a HONDA GULAM to run their product named Actiiva owned by U.
HONDA DEALERS? ATTITUDE

Most of the Honda dealers have a psychological Superior attitude. If U visit 10 dealers, 8 of them will try to impress U by imported techonology, 60 kmpl mileage, stability, road grip, suspension, look etc. Most of them will not ready to listen anything from U. I have some ridiculous answers when I told them about the 135cc Kinetic NOVA. U can try with this question : ?? Nova135 is 135cc with a mileage 45-50+, Why should I go for 100cc Activa with 36-43 mileage ???
SERVICING TRAP
=================
As the petrol price is going to the sky day by day, so is a matter of concern all for us. We all want the maximum mileage. When U insist for the best mileage, honda technician gladly do that for U irrespective of Free or Paid service Or the honda technician will encourage U for the best mileage , in both case U will be in their trap, because when U go for max. mileage the maintenance cost will automatically high, & maintenance will only done by your dealer. Remember, any repair work in the honda workshop will done in absence of U. So bill can be anything. Is it reasonable and fair ?
ACCESSORIES
================
Hoada says, ??The sleek & sporty Honda Activa can be fitted with a host of optional accessories that add to your convenience and style.?? - A scooter should come up with at least minimum accessories but U have to purchase all extra like the necessary items number plate, side stand, ladies steps etc, . Honda think that all these are not necessary items!!

It may be concluded from this review that I am against Honda Activa, but not so, Activa is very smooth to ride & recommended by many auto experts. It is very easy to buy a gearless scooter but not so easy to maintain it & activa really failed in the maintenance sector.
I would like to request all activa owner & Honda hard core fans to take a test ride Kinetic?s Nova135, U will feel what is absent in activa. I don?t know why people go for a imported product when an equivalent, even better, Indian product is available in the market. Remember, no gearless scooter in India will give U a mileage 60 kmpl till date. If any company/dealers said so, they must be ’’CHEATING’’ & MAKING YOU ’’FOOL’’.
