I booked for New Activa on 14th Nov 09 and got the delivery on March 06, 2010!
The colour is Purple.
Its got a sleek look, good leg space, its a beauty on the road.
I have been associcated only with two wheelers, from cycles, Mopeds, Bajaj M80, Kinetic Nova and the last one being Bajaj Classic.
A person who has been riding a two stroke Bajaj scooter would easily distinguish the difference
between the two.
Riding a bajaj even on a smooth road gives a feeling of being slapped repeatedly on the Bum for both
the rider and pillion rider!
But guys, the Activa has soothed the Bajaj torture that we underwent. The engine is sooo soo smooth
that sometimes you wonder if the engine is actually on!
My children were used to Bajaj. After Activa happened, my four year old tells me, ’Dad, can we go
for a car ride’?!
Engine start up, no hassles. Mornings, I use choke, and the engine sparks up in just two kicks. The soft rhythmic engine sound is such a treat to hear especially in the mornings.Even placing the scooter over main stand is effortless.
The vehicle is very smooth till speed of 50km/hr but beyond that the vehicle experiences breathlessness, may be it would subside with time.
Leg space is good, but underseat space not satisfactory. The head lights are nothing to rave
about. The beams, are not bright sharp and focussed as expected. I feel there should be a engine
switch off button too, which Activa should incorporate. The horn volume and tone is ok.
She gives me a mileage of 42km in city roads. Its a satisfactory number. The first or second servicing has not made any difference to mileage. It was 42km before the first service and 42 now even after the second service.
During the second service, they offered me a magnetic device which they claimed would increase mileage by 10km per litre. The device is just useless as there absolutely no difference in the mileage. Its cost is Rs 360.
Pls do not go for this device, its useless.
Overall I am content with ACTIVA.
