First let me tell you that riding bikes and driving cars is my hobby, especially when I ride the newly launched bikes or car.
Till date I’ve put my hands on 3 newly launched vehicles, one of them being the HONDA AMAZE and the other two being Maruti Dzire and Ford Fiesta. I never miss a chance of taking rides of my friends car. The recently launched Honda amaze has really surprised me with its powerpacked features and overall satisfaction.
My Uncle is a high government official who stays in delhi and he was really awaiting for the launch of Amaze since the time the car was announced for release this summer. He trusted honda’s brand blindly.
The Amaze series was launched in the month of April, and my uncle booked the car and he was one of the first 100 people who booked the car. He got his car delivered very soon, and I was the one who tried it first, even before my uncle as he was unable to make it to the dealer when the car was ready. The first ride was very smooth, it was a different feeling all together. I still remember that day when I drove the car and got it home. My uncle had taken a test drive of the Amaze and he was truly impressed and kept praising the car, and so was my condition when I drove it from the dealer’s showroom till my uncle’s place.
From the time when my uncle purchased this car, it is being kept with us only as uncle had to go abroad due to some work. Its almost been around a month and I would like to thank my uncle that he allowed me to keep the car and my dad also din’t hesitate in keeping the car with us.
The feel till now has been awesome, and unique. Its all that I look for in a car, looks, spacious, reliable, comfortable etc.
Let me go into details with my experience with this car:
Space Inside:
The car is very spacious and is very comfortable too. A car should always be very spacious as it enhances the experience of driving.
One can call it a all round compact sedan that has most things right in it. The backseat is very spacious and good as compared to Maruti Dzire, and has a large 400 liter boot also.
Dealer satisfaction:
As my uncle’s a high government official so he din’t face much problems while dealing and the dealer was very helpful. My Uncle booked this car from Ring Road Honda and all the formalities and necessary things were sorted out and wasn’t much hectic as it would have been.
Buying from a proper dealer is also a important aspect as it can cause a big headache if a car is booked from a wrong/fake dealer.
As my uncle has a good grip over things and have good contacts he din’t have much of a problem.
Fuel Consumption:
The mileage wasn’t a big deal for my uncle but it really mattered to me and thanks to the honda people they have gave a master class and I’m thanking them because I can go for a drive whenever I feel like without worrying much about the mileage.
Comfort:
As I mentioned earlier also the comfort was good and very much airy. Being a Brio hatchback with a boot this car is one of the best and cheapest buy in the race of sedan’s. The comfort level is high and that’s what really impressed me and my uncle too.
Reliability:
Honda’s are mostly very reliable and this car is no different. In a month I have banged this car twice but it was minor, but thankfully it was no more than scratches that affected the car. I must say that the car is very very reliable and very strong too. The bumper and rest of the parts aren’t affected inspite taking a heavy beating.
Looks:
The looks are very much appealing and eye catchy. The flamboyance of the car is very high, and would surely attract anyone. Till now no one has ever complained about the looks of amaze. I would rate this very high as compared to other models.
Few glitches here and there:
Unconventional dashboard is what dint impress me for this sort of a car. One would expect a better dashboard and this one isn’t impressive.
Its not accomplished dynamically as compared to other models.
Few things have gone missing which one would expect by default, some of them are folding rear seat type, seat-belt height which can be adjusted, climate controller, auto locking doors, adjustable neck restraints.
The ride is damn smooth, but at times there is some weird sound that comes from the engine, haven’t noticed it in other cars and will be soon taking the car to the service center.
Maybe the basic service km’s have lapsed so maybe the engine’s making a bit of weird sound.
But one thing that I would like to mention here is that honda’s have always produced smooth engines and this one is even more smoother as the engines uses a different technology.

The total cost of the car was 6, 50, 700/- Which was pretty descent.
Final verdict:
All I would say is that it has it all, style, comfort, spacious, compact, mileage, looks and more over consumer satisfaction. If your making plans of buying a sedan, I would suggest you to consider this one very seriously and this car is really trending and creating a buzz. The Japanese company have launched it very competitively keeping in mind the standards and trend going around in the market.
