I purchased Honda Aviator in 2010, the scooter was just driven 16000 kms & have been regularly serviced at the companys service center since purchase. To my surprise when I took the scooter for service recently the mechanic told me that the engine has gone and a minimum expenditure once engine is opened will be between rs 8000 to 11000. How can this happen to a honda product, consumers rely on the brand image, one feels cheated if such a thing happens in a short time with a running of just 16k.
When I called the supervisor he asked me do you have an extended warranty, which I replied in the negative, he then told that sorry we cant do any thing now you will have to bear the cost! This is ridiculous for a vehicle regularly serviced at their own service center. My advice to all prospective buyers to consider this feedback before deciding on which scooter to buy.
