I purchased Aviator around 2 months back and I am pretty happy with the scooter. I purchased it as an alternate vehicle(own a car) to go to nearby places(less than 10 kms).
For the above purpose, this is an excellent scooter and the ride quality is amazing. I am able to zip past all the cars and pick up is as good as a bike(as far as I notice on road)! It’s really smooth, I am amazed at how much scooter quality has improved in last few yrs.
Initally it gave me issues while starting and I had to spend 10-15 mins trying to start it. I called up Haiku honda(Bangalore) and they sent me a mechanic. He explained that it happens in all Honda scooters including Activa(it’s the same engine) due to less carbon deposit in the engine and he increased the race and also tightened the choke. He said it should be ok after 3-4 months once there are few hundred kms on the scooter.
It’s been around 2 months now, and it’s much better now(starts by giving choke and giving little more race for first km).
Overall, that’s the only issue I have seen till date. However, it’s a little high and not for a short people. The mileage seems to be around 40 Kms/ltr now. The looks are decent for a scooter and as I said, I am very happy with the ride quality.
