Happy new year to all the MouthShut users. I was thinking to write review on Honda Brio from last month as I have decided to buy it after test driving it twice (from different dealers) and also ford Figo, Maruti Swift, Hyundai i10 and Verito Vibe.
I was looking for good build, spacious, good mileage and good after sale service car and if possible a car with some style, so I selected the above cars and test drove all of them. It was around 2 months I was doing all these research online : https:////goo.gl/8WEVzq and test driving (on the weekends).
The first was i10. It is really a very good car and meeting all my criteria but when I researched on internet, most users was complaining about the suspension of i10, so I intentionally took the car on bad patches in the city.
When the person from the dealer shouted "ouch" sitting in the rear seat, I got my answer and rejected i10. Now I got Maruti Swift and was almost certain to take it. But when I got the on road price of the just above the base model, I had to think on it and decided to take other cars for test drive.
So come Ford Figo. Honestly if u want a all-in-one car within 4.5 lacs, there will be no better car than Ford Figo. The only reason I did not buy it is the pick-up. If 5 people are inside and AC is on, you will hate to drive it. Now I test drove Honda Brio.
I liked the looks and the fit and finish of the interior. Space was good inside although from outside it seems that it will be cramped inside. Pick-up was good. but one thing I did not like was the rear glass. it was so low that if other cars (even Maruti 800 or Alto) can damage it. So I decided to test drive Verito Vibe. I will call it a mini sedan. Vibe has lots of space, good build, pick up, mileage, so I narrowed down to Swift (little more than my budget) and Vibe
In the meantime another dealer called me to test drive Brio. As I was free that weekend, I went for the test drive. This time I told the dealer person that we will drive it on highway as Ive already tested it on the bad patch and the suspension was good.
I was really impressed with Brios performance on highway. It has very good control, stability in high speed (first time I reached 140km) and fantastic mileage with the eco-light on. It was at per with Swift on pick-up and control, Figo on features, i10 on comfort, stylish than all others and within my budget. so I ignored the rear glass issue and the dealer people offered me to fit a steel rear bumper guard to protect it.
So I decided to go for Honda Brio. But before that I like to get your feedback on Brio and asked if I am taking a right decision by selecting Brio over Figo, i10, Swift and Vibe.
