I own Honda Brio SMT. Yesterday I faced very weird problem with the braking system.
I was struck in a bad traffic jam. Since the road had a pretty steep slope, I decide to turn off the ignition and control the vehicle by just using the brake (foot brake) to conserve fuel. This worked fine for some time but after sometime foot brake suddenly stopped responding. I nearly avoided the accident by using hand brake.
This is my first Car which I have bought recently, so I am not aware if this is expected behavior.
Are brakes expected to respond if the car ignition is off?
Please tell me if anybody else had faced the same problem?
