My Hornet is giving mileage of 52kmpl and it is the beast in this 160cc segment and nothing will match its performance?.The pure power up on Paper really shows its power up from 80 Kmh\r to a very punchy top end.Whereas the RTR 200 takes forever to reach the top speed and is almost a second slower on 0-100 Kmh\r.On the Fi variants, I wont be surprised within 3 months, There will be proper reliable ECU Remaps enabling it to tune right where the rider wants, Mid range, Top end or even more low end.The RTR Fi makes close to 21 Bhp.With a full on Remap, It might probably make close to 24\25 Bhp and rekt the Pulsar, Keep up with the Duke. All this while retaining Stock Parts.TVS Engines are of great potential right from the XL50, Shogun days until today, And their Engineers are known to tune it insanely high for the One make Championship.?
I have ridden both bikes for over 100kms. But I still feel hornet is a lot practical and usable bike. Moreover, gixxer has good low end but bad ground clearance and pillion seat. How can powerdrift ignore that. But the review as always had nice angles.?however I like d road presence of hornet if compared with naked!?Riding hornet for past 6 months. Tested both bikes before going for Hornet.Coming down from pulsar 200 ns, cant compare these 150s with the 200ns, but hornet and gixxer have classy engine and built quality than the pulsar. I personally liked Hornet for wider seat for pillion, gorgeous looks and a mature performance. The only why I didnt go for gixxer because of its dimensions it looked smaller than me, and pillion comfort which is more important in my case because I mostly have a pillion behind me otherwise no complaints nice engaging bike. Till date I dont have any problems as mentioned by others pls use specified Full Synthetic oil for better experience. Those who are complaining of performance on hornet should go past 6k rpm, there youll see the real character of this engine.?The CB Hornet 160 is a good option for someone in the hunt for a sporty, comfortable and easy to ride 150cc machine.but rear disk doesnt really stop the bike. it reduces speed but doesnt stop when riding above 30kmph. I have heard that CBS causes problem on curves and earthen(kacha) roads because both brakes occur at same time and that might result in an accident?. Some batches of hornets had a faulty carb, symptoms include the engine making noise first once u engage the throttle before the bike actually accelerates, lack of power till 6000 rpm, and heavy lag between 5000-6000 rpm.having a bad experience even feeling too heavy when going through bad roads. I am planning to switch the rear grip with 130/70-17 MRF tyres(CBR 150) please let me know would it really affect the bike balance on high speed and my second option is 140/60-17. Really disappointing with stock Tyre feels too heavy and less grippe.Engine is powerful .but it has a little bit vibration prblm.but after 5, 000 rpm it became smooth. power drift .
