Two-wheeled vehicle that is propelled by pedals and steered with handlebars. Bikes are city vehicles and make getting around a city a lot easier than driving a car. I chose this topic because I’m a bike lover, and I wanted to find out if other people agreed with me. Bikes are better than cars because they are easier to maintain, they are cheaper, and they are more accessible.
A bike is better than a car. One of the reasons a bike is better than a car is that they are easier to maintain. This means that you can fix a bike more easily than you can fix a car. One example that shows this is getting a flat tire. When you get a flat on your bike you can fix it by getting a new tube and taking off the old one. But, for a car’s flat you have to go to a shop to get it fixed. This makes bikes better than cars because on a bike you can fix most issues yourself as opposed to having to take it to a bike shop. Bikes are better than cars because they are easier to fix, and they are also cheaper than cars.
Another reason a bike is better than a car is because of the money difference. This means a bike is cheaper to buy and maintain than a car. One example that shows this is that if you get a flat on your bike it will cost you$25 dollars. However, if a car needs a tire replaced it will cost you$100-300 dollars. This means that you will have more money in hand if you own a bike as opposed to a car. Bikes are better than cars because they are cheaper, and they are easier to access than cars.
Another reason a bike is better than a car is because they are easier to access. In order to operate a car you need a state ID and you need to have passed Driver’s Ed. This means that you have to be at least 16 years old to drive a car, and you have to pass a driving test. However, this is not necessary to do with a bike. For example, a twelve year old kid can ride a bike, but a twelve year old can’t drive a car. This makes bikes better than cars because anyone can ride a bike, but not everyone can pass a driving test and not everyone has an ID. This is just one of many reasons why cars are better than bikes.
Bikes are better to own and ride than cars because they are easier to fix, cost less money, and everyone can use them. Other people should also make the switch to riding a bike because of other benefits. For example, riding a bike is healthier, less dangerous and better for the environment. In the future, I would like to see people in Philadelphia using bikes more than they use cars. This goal can start with people teaching their kids to ride bikes so that when they are adults they will love bikes
