This is the first ever Honda’s bike in my life that I own.
I would like to share my Opinion over this.
Before buying this I took trial of many motorcycles but every one has it’s own Pros and Cons. I choose it over some other bikes. I always prefer sport bikes. Every Sport bikes attracts me by the killing looks like Yamaha’s FZ S, but this is something different from others. Really Honda did a very good and appreciable work over it.
So I own it in Oct’16 and till date I used it for daily commuting.
My Daily commuting distance is near about 54 Kms by one side from my Home to Office and vice versa, so total distance I travel daily is 108~110 kms.
I rode it nearly 13000 Kms. I have no Complaint yet by the performance of the HORNET 160 R.
If you see by the point of looks, it has a very sharp and edgy looks from the front end as well as Rear section also. Once you see it on the road, you will think once in your mind what was that. I also wish to have a ride of that one bike.
- Fuel tank is very muscular and Sporty, which gives you a feeling of safety and proud. The Fuel tank capacity is of 12 ltrs. its mileage is 58~60 Kms/litre, while you drive it up to a speed of 55~65 kmph. Honda provides a Oil sump collector under the fuel tank, which collects the fuel while standing on side stand. when you starts the bike it will send it back to fuel tank.
Usually I am getting 58 when I speeding it on Highways at a speed of 70 Kmph. In the city it gives me a mileage of 56.
- Seating Position is very good which provides you a better comfort, you will feel secure. It’s handle bar with wide grip is so awesome that gives you the comfort from the pain occurs in the palm and shoulders on the long drive.
Once in a week I used to go on long tours near about 300 kms in which I don’t feel any pain in my body as compared to others.
- It is a reliable bike, that you can’t trust yourself. It is a balanced bike in every section that the quality of material is so good. I enjoy it during riding, its balance is very good even you can leave your hands from the handle bar, even on high speeds. it has no vibrations over high speeds and even also on low speeds. It’s engine sounds is very soft and calm.
On the long drives I enjoy it with higher speeds.
It’s handling is very very good. it’s rear tyre(140 mm) is very fatty and big has very close grips on road and provides you proper balance during driving. its braking is also good. It didn’t get skids on high and low speeds.
It accelerates very fast as compared to other ones. it’s a fantastic bike.
The top speed I noticed in my hornet last time was 122 Kmph.
At last I would like to say that I enjoy the riding of my Black stallion.
