It’s my first bike . being in college life and free spirited as I am I wanted a sports bike but my father didn’t agree with me and I ended up with CB Shine 2014 . I had low expectations from it and it’s looks doesn’t lift my spirits either. But BOY OHH BOY! when I started riding this thing I realized how wonderful this bike is.
The best part of the bike is the extremely smooth and refined engine which barely makes any noise but as you twist the throttle you realize it not as fragile as it seems. Being built for the city the bikes rarely needs to go past 75-80km speed and it takes full advantage of it. The gear ratios are short delivering ample power at all speeds. It is quick and responsive and follows every action of ur fingers fast enough.
The fifth gear is missed though when you are above 75kmph and the engine starts to vibrate. It feels stretched there. The tires provide good grip and higher weight of 125 kg provides great stability. The bike ride is a lil high so cornering isn’t very good though but it makes up for this flaw by excellent handling. The only down side here is the suspension which cud have been better.
The bike has the performance of a sports bike and the efficiency of an everyday commuter.That’s why it’s the leader in it’s segment even ahead of hero or bajaj. If only it had better looks it had the potentional to be a legendary stuff in 125cc segment just like splendor is for 100cc segment. If you have to ride just in the city . this is the bike to go. You wont regret it.
