The new CB Shine 125 from Honda is the best bike in 125cc segment in India. I personally use this bike and I am very much satisfied with it. It runs very long distances frequently and hasn’t failed me once
Mileage is the only thing I am particularly dissatisfied with this bike. Though it is 125cc, its mileage is very low for that segment. Within 50 km/h speed, it gives 50-55 Kmpl. But if I take it above 60 km/h, the mileage drops to 40 Kmpl. All this with HET engine in new Shine, which is supposed to increase mileage.
The bike seating and its position gives superior comfort for both the rider and pillion. I ride for long distances frequently and my Shine is very comfortable for me. The bike is easy to handle and your hands won’t ache during rides and it is a plus. The engine is very reliable and I haven’t had a single problem with its performance. Gear shifting can be a bit problematic at times. The gears won’t shift sometimes and it can be quite irritating in traffic. I use the front disc brake version and Its brakes are very good
The rear tires are a bit small than I like and it affects road grip somewhat. If you are taking corners in above average speed, you could sense the instability in tires. Otherwise, for normal driving it’s perfect.
The looks are amazing for a commuter bike and according to me, it has the best design in 125cc segment
