Bought this bike in oct 2018 after selling my 6 year old dream yuga. Reasons for selling out that bike was the excess vibrations after 50kmph, poor mileage around 40 and engine sound and bike was getting rusted in many places.
Researched alot before buying shine and decided to go with a proven and known devil. The main reason to buy this bike was its silent engine.
Pros
Excellent in styling
Good height and seat width and length
Proven 125 cc engine
A simple daily commuter with good mileage
Cons
Its first service done, but from the beginning the engine sound look to be weird as it sounds like a bajaj engine to me and really disappointed with this as older models dont make such noise at all. need to check with showrooms guys on this
No so great pick up
front shocks make dhud sound on speed breakers which is unusual to me
still need to adjust the rear shocks to softer
no digital dials
bike breaths out at 60kmph and one more gear required. Shine SP comes with 5th gear but its pick up and engine noise were pathetic and it has lot of plastics on the body which fade off in no time
So overall not very happy buying this bike mileage seems to be okay as it returned 55kmpl after 1st service.
at 75000 on road its a costly bike for sure when compared with other bikes of same segment.
need to meet the honda guys and discuss about the engine noise and the suspension thing. If any of you find the same engine noise issue on a 2018 model, please report this in reply with your experience
