I wanted a replacement for my RX135 bike which I have been using for many years. Saved up the money to buy a bike with with good looks and reasonable mileage. My new job required at-least 50kms travel in city daily.
I test drove other bikes like Apache 180RTR, Pulsar 180cc, Yamaha FZ-S, Hero CBZ xtreme, Suzuki GS150R, Honda Unicorn before deciding to buy the CB Trigger.
The bike handles well in city traffic, nice full digital instrument panel is neatly placed and easy to rad even during broad daylight, the bike is not shy to use full throttle, smooth silent engine, good mono-shocks, full chain guard protects the bike chain form rains and dust, easy shift of foot gears with full length pedal similar to RX135, tubeless tyres, powerful headlights, decent mileage 50+, engine is air-cooled and the added air-intake vent under the petrol tank directs the air towards the engine during running condition. The bike handles well on bad roads.
I had emailed the Honda company about the bike specifications as I had doubt whether this is just a Unicorn or Dazzler copy. The Honda company sales representative called me up two days later and told me that Honda CB Trigger is a replica of the Honda CB 1000R bike.
I had some issues with the mono-shock, during rains and on bad roads the mono-shocks get coated with wet dirt, the mono-shocks needs daily cleaning, there was some metallic squeaking noise from the mono-shocks as it was wet, no rear mudguard. Honda needs to fix some rear mudguards on these bikes, very important .
