This has been about 3 months and over 2600 Kilometer; I am running with my new Honda CB Trigger. This bike is the replacement of my heavenly good Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme(Black with Red Tail). Honda’s CB Trigger is good in every aspect except fuel economy and vibration issue. It has decent look, fully digital dashboard, wider rear tyre, digital meter sensor, LED tail lam, clear type indicator, neat & clean styling Honda emblem but rear foot peg frame/stand made up with some cheap quality iron based pipe basically which I don’t like.
Initially for the first 1000 Kilometer I have maintained the motorcycle within the speed limit of 50 km/h and throttle limit of 4000 rmp. I have avoided certain pickup or breaking. During this break in period I fetched lot of vibration at 2500-4000 RPM but thought it will be alright after this period. Just after completing 1000 Kilometer bar I have taken the bike with Honda authorized service center for the first free service. They have done nothing; opened only side cover and cleaned dust. However, what happened after 1000 Kilometer and first free service – fuel consumption has been increased drastically from 45km/ltr to 37km/ltr and vibration issues remained same. Even when I have tried to speed up the bike, experienced vibration in handlebar at speed 75 km/h(this is really weird). I have taken up the matter with Honda Service Center when the bike was at 1800Kilometer on odometer. They have adjusted the drive chain & ideal RPM and told the fuel consumption and vibration problem will go away. Unfortunately none of the problem has gone till now(at 2642 Kilometer).
I am still dreaming to get my CB Trigger without those issues.
I will be happy if I get 43-45 Km/ltr and I think it is quite normal if there is any vibration after crossing 90Km/h speed.
Is there anyone to help me out?
