Let me be honest, I blindly bought this bike. Thats right, no test ride, didnt read any reviews. My only plan is to buy a Honda bike and thats it. Because of the engine refinement and thats what I was looking for when I was planning to get a new 150cc bike. And guess what I wasnt disappointed.
Its been two years now and we are still doing good together me and my trigger. There has been ups and down, sad and happy ride together and we never let each other get away, and my trigger saved me every now and then no matter whose fault it is. Its been my loyal buddy and will remain always the same.
Lets cut to the chase and let me write something down about the bike subtract the melodrama.
The bike has a beautiful 150cc engine coupled with a refined and user friendly transmission and a very light clutch. Honda engines are benchmark for engine refinement and this engine stride forward to achieve good numbers in terms of performance and mileage.
See I dont care if this can beat apache or gixxer but it can definitely beat em all in terms of engine refinement smooth power delivery and heck yeah in mileage.
This bike has a tall gear ratio, to ensure good mileage and also you can achieve more speed because of the long travel in each gear. This bike is actually a under powered bike but obeys exceptional in speed more than 60kmph. Because this bike likes to be revved. I have ridden lots of 150cc bikes and only very few likes it when you rev it.
This bike comes to alive only after 5k rpm, you probably not going to like it when it is below 3.5k rpm. In low speed the bike is bit difficult to handle because of its upright riding position and also its a tall bike(tallest I have ever ridden).
In terms of performance this bike is like a trained lion and youre its ringmaster. It does the job neat whenever and whatever you asked to do. It means, if you want mileage it gives you the best mileage in its class, ask for the performance and rev it more than 5k rpm and see the magic for yourself. Its a sleeping monster and never mess with him when he is awake. Overall, this bike is lazy in low rpms and a monster and liked to be revved more than 5k rpm.
The only problem with this is bike I faced is its braking. Mine has a standard model with front disc and rear drum. The braking is not bad but not sharp enough like other bikes in its class. And most of all the tyres are damn slippery. I mean I would say its -1 during the situation when the tyre had to stick with the road and save the rider for the day.
It does a good job if the road is clean and in cornering in little high speed but when you want it to be stopped so badly all it does is make a huge creepy sound but then again its still making the same sound when its supposed to be stopped at that moment. Overall the tyres are good in cornering and in a clean road but definitely not in high speed breaking or wet road condition.
This bike needs choke in cold start as bad as a person needs CPR when they are not breathing. Its hard to start it without a choke. I dont know may be all modern bikes needs a choke in cold start so badly than before. Lets talk about the mileage, honestly if someone asks about the mileage of my bike, I lie.
I lie not because its less but its shockingly too good to be true for a 150cc bike. I get not less than 56-57 kmpl in city. I ll get more if I ride it in 40-45kmph. Am not gonna lie to you but I feel irritated when people dont believe the mileage, but come on yall asked for it, I never went boasting about it. Never mind! am happy about the mileage never had a problem and never will have any in future. If you ride it in 40-45kmph and shift gear in 3.5k rpm youll get more than 60kmpl for sure. But that is not very healthy for engine and transmission, or make sure you take your bike for a power ride to climb a hill or cruise in a highway as an exercise to your engine to keep its smoothness even when you ride slow all the time.
The suspension is very stiff. When you ride alone in a bad road, you could feel almost all the shocks and its very uncomfortable for riding but offers a very good stability in high speed and in high speed cornering. When it comes to the appearance, trigger scores only in its tank, the cowl and the speedometer. The switches were very disappointing and embarrasing.
These switches belong in a museum and no way in a modern 150cc bike. It could have been a lot better if it had a rear set foot rests and a split handlebars like in apache. Though the silencer gives a good rhythmic sound in high speed it does look odd. Any how am planning to change into a rear set foot rests and a split handlebars, I just dont know if thats possible and good idea.
To be honest, this bike is not very stylish not a very good performer but it has a very good refined engine and transmission, good ride quality, good mileage and if anyone rides your bike they going to like the way it shifts, the quietness of the engine nevertheless theyve a FZ or Gixxer or 200NS.
