Twister Review after 3000 Km's

This is my first post in Mouthshut.com and hope my review would help in readers understanding about Twister before they decide to buy. When Honda announced the launch of Twister in the paper, I really fell in love with the way the bike was designed and the colors being offered. I was desperately waiting to buy, but it took some time to hit the Bangalore showrooms.

I bought Honda Twister in the month Feb. As soon as I saw the bike in the showroom, I wanted to go for it without any doubt, as I understand Honda does a very good research on the engine and the dynamics before it launches a product.

Let me get to the feedback what I had to give on Twister.

Pros first....

  1. Excellent Styling for a commuter segment. Very well designed.

  2. Great Handling, easy to ride in City traffic.

  3. Excellent pickup.

  4. Very nicemileage..I get around 68km/pl when riding at an economy speed, even after the 1st and 2nd service the mileage remained constant. Themileagereduces if you are ripping more than 60kmph speed. That is when you would be getting around 62- 64 kmpl.

  5. Smooth engine and the exhaust sound is melody to ears.

  6. Helmet Lock under the seat was a good idea. I need not fit aseparatelock for Helmet, it is hidden under the seat and is really neat.7. Headlight lighting in night is really powerful and bright.8. Paint finish of the bike was the best in class.

Now the Cons..

  1. Not comfortable for family persons..your wife / mother will complain that it is too high to sit. Girlfriends will like it... :)

  2. Max speed you can go on this bike is 94KM.

  3. The reartireis too thin (Honda could have given a biggertyre) and you will not be confident to ride it at high speeds or in rain.

  4. Having a thinnertyrereduces the braking as well. Rear braking is a little bit slower when compared to other bike with a broader tyres.

  5. In rainy season, you will see that your shoes and pants would be covered with slush as the dirt from the front tyre comes on to your shoes.. I guess the front mudguard is a little too high. Same with the rear...people sitting in the rear would also complain about this problem.

I hope this review helps you..
