As I write this review, the CB Unicorn 160 is the only bike in its class* that offers an upright riding position, besides toe and heel gear shift. I find this comfortable, especially for long rides. Rather than flat out acceleration, this bike offers mileage( I get 53 - 54 kms to the ltr) and good torque. Being a nature lover from the city of Coimbatore, I do ride to the hills often. It is here that the bikes compression ratio and torque is of great help. Climbing is effortless. The suspension is rather stiff, but Ill take that because of the rural stretches/trails, that I often cover. The wheel base is comparatively long and hence I wouldnt suggest sharp and tight maneuvering around corners; but then braking is steady and solid. On the whole, I would rate this bike as being a balance between Performance and Economy, a balance between performance in City and Away. Finally, I did have a minor irritant when I bought the bike - the bike wouldnt stay steady in its center-stand. When the service center ran out of ideas to convince me, they got a service engineer from the manufacturer to attend to my complaint. He of course did the obvious by fitting spacers(washers?) between the stand and the frame. I accepted this after assurances that thisroad-side mechanic class of solution*will not affect the crank case.
