My experience-Dazzler

I bought Honda CB dazzler in the month of December 2010 and the bike has done 13000KM now. Here is my precise experience with this bike.

Positives

  1. Good mileage. I got 55Km/litre upto 7000Km and now 50KM/Litre now. This is equivalent or slightly better than my previous 125cc bajaj discover.

  2. Smoother engine compared to bajaj and the handling is decent.

Negatives.

  1. Poor braking. The discs at front and back would lock the wheels if pressed relatively hard and the bike would skid. I had two accidents with this bike and escaped luckily (obviously helmet helped). One has to be careful in wet conditions.

  2. Very poor shocks.: In-fact the performance of the mono shocks was a shocking experience for me. Initially I tried to console myself thinking that the shocks may improve as the running KMs increase. God..you can count each and every depression on the road. My discover 125 was two times better than this.

  3. One has to be soft with this bike while starting...you try hard and the ignition wont work. The self start simply pumps..but the engine would not start. some people say it is petrol overflow or something like that. What eve it is ..this happens quite often to me with this bike and has pushed the bike five times in 3 yrs where as it never happened for my discover.

  4. Headlights are not that powerful...just similar to a 100 cc bike only.

  5. I have another additional problem: The swing arms of the bike makes noise...a sort of creaking noise. This started from the 2nd month of purchase. Every time I give it to service center, they would apply some grease and give the bike back. After one week again the noise would re appear. I tried to claim warranty, but the service center says you bring back and they would solve it. Again they would repair and the noise comes back after  week. Now I am fed up with this and accepted this problem as not solvable and got habituated to it. Tried to attend the problem in different service centers in Chennai, but no use, all are equally helpless and would not give warranty replacement also. Some design problem or I am unlucky to get a defective one.

Okay, these are the major points from my part on this bike. One can try high speed driving in this bike in dry conditions and the bike would respond positively. Vibrations are very less compared to Bajaj bikes even at 65 to 70 KM/Hr speeds.
