People I just got the bike yesterday. I had been to the Honda showroom in Bangalore last Saturday. I never knew that such a bike was there in the market.
Some days back I saw a TV commercial, featuring a new Honda bike in the market. Thanks to the AD, I was not able to see the bike properly in the AD. Honda needs to remake the AD.
My dad was convinced from day one that he wants me to take a Pulsar. I wanted to have a peep on the new bike and off we went to the Honda showroom.
The first look into the bike and the attractive price changed the entire mood and it tempted me to lay my hands on it.We were pretty convinced and booked a red one immediately.
This newly launched bike needs a one month wait(thats what the dealers say as they get the stock only once a month - I dont know whether it is true - may be a management mantra). But because of the stock which had just come in, there was one ready for me :). But first things first I was impressed.
Guys reason why I recommend this bike is
1) 125 CC with mileage of 50 - 60 (The Honda service center said on peoples reviews).
2)I want some mileage, with style.
3)The back seat a bit lifted with more space between the tyre and the back seat (I wanted this for a long time. This is currently featured only in karizma or pulsar 220).
4)Discover 135 costs in Bangalore( 63 K.. man no style and I dont want to pay so much for the same mileage and some digital meter).
5)In 125 CC its a bit costly than shine, XCD and other range of products (Though mileage is a bit less compared to them - the style outshines it by a mile).
6)If you feel Pulsar is there everywhere , I need a change and some better style which is affordable, this is the bike for you.
Ok some things to be noted now.
1) The Test ride bike was not so good - vibration and some engine sound was there . The reason the sales man said was " it is not single handed and this will not be there in your OWN bike".
2) I drove the vehicle from the showroom and laid it to rest in my stable and found it had no vibration. Not tested the pickup much and the mileage too. Will have to look into this for some time. It was quite comfortable and you feel full confident while driving.
Within 10 meters of traveling I filled the tank where a guy was pretty impressed with the styling and started asking about the features of it. Still just begun, people started turning their heads and were in awe when they saw the bike. "New beast on road is gonna hit people".
To get the technical aspect -> there are lot of reviews on it and better check those reviews for technical things. I dont want to give some more gyan to people much on technical aspects.
I will update on the mileage and comfort more, later as it is too early for that.
Hope this gives a review for the starters. And happy riding.
My update after 100 km of riding :
Pros
1) Looks wise, people are praising , I havent got a single person saying who doesnt like the looks
2) People feel it is a good package for 58 K (drm-self start)
3) Pick up is ok, good for a 125 cc.
4) Mileage will be updating after another 250 KM
5) Comfortable riding
Cons:
1) Vibration above 50 to 60 K ( May be this will become alright after first service)
2) Got to see the mileage, other reviews says its a bit less for 125 cc, but tell me Discover 135 must be giving around 55 Ks (maximum).
But atleast I would like to sacrifice for a pathetic design like Discover DTSI
3) People say Yamaha SS gives a better mileage, frankly I dint like the design much, if you are more worried about mileage and not style...look for that.
- I dont like the design... my view... it may vary according to people.
