BEST BIKE

My first bike is tvs flame, bike is very good giving milage around 55, but vibration is high side so I want to change my bike,


i pick stunner on 27-8-2012. I just completed 2100km.


so far, happy and satisfied with the bike. First to start with,

I wanted a good looking bike with good acceleration, handling and reasonable mileage to drive in city of pune.  My choice is 125 cc bike for power and milage combo, and in my list  there is Glamour or Shine, Stunner is not in my list at all.


when I came in hero showroom there is one black colour bike attracted me that was Igniter and that was only 3 thousands more in price  and 5 th gear addition on glamour so I choose to buy ignitr.I like black colour and my brother want red, but I convinced to him to buy black colour disc igniter. Sales person  said there is 25 days waiting period on bike.so we book that bike and empty hand return to home.Then my friend says that bike you booked is shares same gens with Honda stunner bike and just visit Honda showroom and take look of that bike, so I went to Honda showroom.


DESIGN AND LOOKs:


When me and my brother entered the showroom, I stunned to see that the bike is combination of red and black colour and fall in love with that bike I like this origional bike rather than clone, and we both agree with this bike.front look is absolutely sporty with meaty cowl. This is why the bike has got its name stunner. Head light is not attached to handle thus reduced weight on handle. you can compare the design only with karizma, but it has slim look.


No other bike comes closer in looks in 125cc.


ENGINE AND PERFORMANCE:


The engine is same as shine which is proven machine, so no issues at all and it Honda name . The real stunning is with its acceleration. it doesn’t jump immediately with throttle but after a fraction of second it’s an arrow, gives a feel of taking to you into air and you became a wing rider. The bike is only self starter but even single day it not give me any problem just push button and it starts smoothly.


TRANSMISSION:


Again amazed to see that the bike is picking up from 20 kmph speed in 5th gear without touching clutch, And picking nicely at all ups in 5th gear with my brother at back. so, there are no frequent shifts. I went upto 98kmph and, the bikes smoothness far better from my first bike flame, but there is little vibration in bike between 5 to 6 k RPM band, but from 60 kmph, it became vibration free touches 90 kmph. that it is exellent in every aspect. It has a constant mesh gearbox with 5 gears. No need of 1st gear, u can start in 2nd from rest (even in 5th), from 3rd smoothness increasing to 5th along with enough torque.


SUSPENSION:


Telescopic hydraulic fork front and Spring loaded hydraulic back , Experiencing soft  suspension but compare to glamour it little bit harder for RIDER but maintaining right air pressure in tyre it gives good ride quality. The seats are WIDE and have perfect upright seating posture. I went 60km at a stretch on Highway and ride is very good.


TYRES:


FRONT  80/100-17 TUBELESS, REAR 100/90-17 TUBELESS, my bike having MRF TYRES. The advantage is lesser probability to puncture and burst and we can travel tens of kilometres without patching even after puncture. It has black alloy wheels .Most enjoyable thing is, it cornering like race bike........The road gripping and balance is simply outstanding.


BRAKES:


Braking is very good, front disc and rear drum very good combo. In my bike leg guard was very close to front mud guard and at heavy braking my mud guard is stuck in side leg guard, next day I modify with extra hole on leg guard and push leg guard away from front tyre and now it ok and not giving any problem at braking.


ELECTRICALS:


Good Head light(35W), tail lamp brighter than others, meter console has analog speedometer with trip meter and a Tachometer to see RPM , fuel gauge meter with regular signal, neutral indicators and has a red background lights inside meters. I missing digital meters and engine kill switch its very handy in stop go.switches are not good compare to hondas other products mainly turn indicator switch is stuck inside whenever you used, you have to pull back manually.


MILEAGE:


I got a 55 km/litre mileage before first service. But after 1 st servicing it gives 57 to 62 kmpl  at around 40 to 50 km/h in city driving condition . The fuel tank 10 ltr, 2 ltr res.  (1.5 ltr reserve capacity-Tested myself)so aware of that. Bike having AEROTYPE fualcap comes out completely with key and look good on fuel tank.


Spare parts : Yes there is issues in spare parts but stunner and Igniter are used  almost all same parts only cosmetic changes in igniter , so spare parts are easily available in market now.


Service center :


I took my stunner from Rohan Honda ( Dapodi, pcmc) . the sales dpt. is good but service center is not good .

and one important thing is, there is no problem in night driving turning roads the light is wide spreads and not giving any problem to see road at turning.


I got my stunner for 66, 000/-on road with all (including accessories).


I Strongly recommend this bike for you which a bike lover  not  a racer.

UPDATE AT 3500 KM   DATE-12/12/12


MILAGE-  SOLO RIDER- 57.5 KMPL WITH PILLION-  53 KMPL  IN CITY DRIVING CONDITION.RIDE QUALITY IMPROVED.NO ANY OTHER ISSUES FROM BIKE TILL DATE.


Got one puncture in the rear tyre(Tubeless) last night and repairing time is only 3 min.without tyre dismantling is very good for time saving as well as no change in rear setup of bike.


UPDATE  DATE-30/12/12


in 2nd service I told about oil leakage but in service center they SAYS the oil leakage at front sprocket and oil seal is not in stock and wait for 1 month for that oilseal. So I go to my local mechanic and he says there is no leakage at front sprocket , oil leakage at natural switch below front sprocket so oil seal ring changed at local mechanic now it looks fine.
