I purchase Stunner 2010 carb. version 5 months ago and having the problem that the bike doesn’t go beyond 10km/1st gear, 20km/2gear, 30km/3gear, 40km/4gear, 50km/5gear and if accelerated beyond respective speed/gear it sound harshly.
I have already done my 3rd servicing, one of the mechanic of service station convinced my initial queries regarding noise saying that it will vanish around 3rd servicing as the bike is new once it roll around 3000-4000 km the engine will adapt and become butter smooth. but there is hardly any difference between the engine noise that use to, at the time of delivery by the showroom till now.
Except for the above problem this bike is brilliant, but the above problem is life costing. I am very depressed after all I have employed my hard earned money considering that I am purchasing the best 125cc Bike, whereas it is finding it difficult to cross 60km mark, even HH passion being a 100cc can easily goes upto 80km.
further, from my personal riding experience with stunner PGMfi, I realize that in this bike the pulling at various gear is much better than the carb one, in order to know the reason behind it I go through the net and discovered that the performance of PGMFi and Carburetor engine doesn’t have much difference, its marginal and overall improvement is 5% only.
But the performance of Stunner PGMFi version was much ahead and the reason behind its as perceived by me was that it has used one tooth less in its rear sprocket and one extra tooth in it pinion or front sprocket and all together a difference of 2 teeth as compare to carb. one and because of it the ratio of both the version has changed and performance of PGMFi have improved as it got the taller gear ratio, even Unicorn/Shine Gear has the combination of 15/42 teeth in front/rear sprocketas compare to 14/43 in Stunner Carb. version and even the HH, Bajaj & TVS bikes used to have the same ratio in their bikes, if one wants to have deep knowledge in gear ratio and relation of front and rear sprocket teeth then please visit the site https://gearingcommander.com and you will find how increase or decrease in the number of teeth in rear and front sprocket have considerable effect on speed and performance.
But the problem of mine is still not solved as I couldn’t find the either sprocket of PGMFi available at my locality to get the modification done and to present the clear picture of my ideology, whether it actually works or not. As I am not a mechanic neither have experience of Two-wheeler for more than 5 months. hence will I go through such modification if I luckily found the sprocket of PGMFi, requesting u all friends to comment and suggest in this regard, any suggestions are warm welcomed in advance.
