Purchased Honda Stunner Bike in Feb’10 seeing my couple of friends in Office and driving a bit.First friend’s Engine replaced by Honda in 1 month after trying firing Bike in front of Swaroop Honda -Delhi. Finally company approved New Engine and replaced the same.
Second friend – Sold out his bike seeing engine issue in 2nd year starting.Now Me: My thinking got wrong to be lucky to get good engine choice bike. Now My bike has started complaining from Engine side. Seems like Engine’s piston rings worn out so …..ss.
Problems you will face routinely: -
1# Bike is too light so in Normal wind your bike will fly......
2# Need to tighten Chain in every 800-1000 Km and need to replace at every 10000-12000 Kms.
3# Main Handle is too light so need to adjust every year.
4# Shock Absorber repair is too costly and will not good near to new after repair with original parts as well.
5# Replacing Any electrical Parts is too tedious. Most of the time whatever will be repaired will give a good sound like 10 year old bike. Reason full bike is plastic bike.
6# Most of the showrooms will not be able to provide Parts.
7# If will be luck, will need to pay thrice the price for original or have to have some other bike parts like Honda Shine or Honda Passion.
8# It is very difficult to find Mechanic for Honda Stunner if lucky would have no idea about main problem and will try to fool you.
9# Bike Engine will be ..........ss after some time.
10# No shopkeeper will entertain for parts most of the time.
Good Thing about Bike - HONDA NAME and style and bike will fly normally.
Suggestion: Think twice to buy this bike and atleast inquire from near by bike owner or any Bike mechanic. I found this bike very good in first 2 year but later on all MISAPPREHENSION gone.
I tried to find any people happy with Stunner Bike and just found one I said above in 5-6 people.
