Honda City has been my dream car ever since the 3rd Generation city was launched back in 2008 and finally I could afford it this year. It been a long wait. The 4th Generation City was launched on 7th January and it was love at first site. I have been driving petrol cars only from the day I stared driving so I was little hesitant to drive a diesel one. I did not like Amaze with same diesel engine. My earlier car was Maruti A-star fitted with CNG as my monthly running is around 1200 km. So i was keen on Diesel City.
I book Honda City SV Urban Titanium on 10th January and i was told that it will be delivered by end of February by Crystal Honda Pune. But to my surprise, the car arrived at dealer within a week. That was a very pleasant surprise.
I took delivery on 24th January and have driven 750 Km in 6 days. Its a wonderful product Honda has come up with. Diesel Noise, of course it is there and noticeable if you are used to petrol cars but if I went on road trip in my friends Hyundai Verna to get the feel of diesel. City noise is within acceptable level though a bit more than Verna.
Seats are very soft and comfortable. Driving position is nice. You dont feel tired. Steering is very responsive and there is no turbo lag. In higher gears it is as smooth as petrol car. Thought i didnt go beyond 120 kmph yet. On a 80 km non traffic stretch avg calculator went upto 26.8 kmpl and over all fuel economy i got on a 500 km trip to kolhapur and back was 25 Kmpl which can be called amazing.
Overall , I am very happy with my Honda City and I would definitely recommend it. Go for it.
