Though the market is filled with positive vibes for City, but I shall give only the negative points which I could figure out with the new City 2012 Corporate model which I purchased in Hyderabad.
Rear tyre, metal frame accumulates mud from the tyre (centrifugal force). This mud sits at the edge of the metal frame. (Learn from Maruti, Hyundai, they have designed in such a way that mud does not stays)
OEM supplied carpeting is not hugging the metal frame. May be Honda is saving on carpet material, or absence of quality checks.
Read seat has the foldable legs but the back side is fixed. Whereas the City models supplied in other overseas markets have collapsible rear seats.
Supply of car with 2 different types of tyres. Violating what Honda has mentioned in their user manual and the warranty terms and conditions.
What safety induction Honda extends and manages with their dealers who fix same unsafe products like rear camera mirror on the OEM rear view mirror?
On top of the above violation the product meant for right-hand drive market is simply supplied to Indian customers. What supply chain management and quality management is implemented.
Honda informs that they have increased the ground clearance from 160 mm to 165mm. but none (Dealer or the manual) confirms if this is dynamic. Dynamic means despite of what the legitimate load in car the clearance is 165mm. (VW confirm it for Vento for example)
Quality of tyres is very poor (I was give 2 types of MRF). On Diwali day, while coming back from Miyapur to Madhapur, the wall side of the tyre ripped off after going through a small pot hole. When the circumstance are know, then design your system in accordance to it.
