It is now about three months now since I bought new Honda City V-MT car from Crystal Honda, Bavdhan, Pune. The showroom is excellent and their hospitality awesome.
The car is equally good too.
The features are really enormous and appealing. As you step in, you can adjust the driver seat height, steering wheel angle. You can also adjust ORVMs electrically. They are also foldable. A little snag here:- ORVMs close only half way. It would have been better, if they closed completely.
V variant has an Audio system with 5" screen with special features like SVC(Speed Volume Control with adjustable rate) and wallpaper choice with standard features like blue tooth and USB connectivity. The sound effect is really good.
Air Conditioner is absolutely awesome. It looks cool and works cooler. You can set the required cabin temperature and it works out automatically.
The dash board is very informative with engine RPM, trip A-trip B odometer. It also shows instantaneous fuel consumption rate, average of trip A and average of trip B fuel consumption rate. It also gives an estimate of how many kilometers you can drive in the available petrol in the tank. You can also have a look at the illuminated rings around the speedometer to know how economically you are driving. It also shows outside temperature.
The engine noise in idling is hardly audible. I had to look at the RPM meter to confirm if engine is running.
I have made up about 3000 km in three months. Not very hectic running. The car is suitable for both city rides and highway drive.
Gear shifting, however, is not very smooth.
Pick up is reasonable, although not great but wont let you down. Steering control is very nice. Suspension is best for big pot holes but not ideal for small gravel like road.
Reverse camera is very useful. I use ORVMs along with reverse camera to be more confident.
Overall it a very satisfying experience for one who drives as well for those in the pillion and rear seats. The car is roomy with good leg space. Interior feel is luxurious.
So City VMT is worth your money.
