Handsome package

My GXi is 8 months old now. Interiors are a class apart. But suspension is made for roads in Singapore / Thailand. I skip a heartbeat each time I hear that sound.

Ground clearance is disappointing. 4 occupants with their luggage will scrap the frame with even small bumpers. The Honda guy(from Delhi) told me not all bumpers are the same size in India and hence the design. That shud have lead the designers to have higher than normal ground clearance. As always, the City is a Honda, known for their miserly attitude towards design.

Engine and trans are best in class. Mileage is class leading. AC is matchless. You feel the chill the second after the AC button is pressed.

Lack of a CD changer in the GXi really sucks.

The Fiesta offers digital tachos and a more modern display. The City is all analog, except for the mileage meter.

Overall comfort is awesome. Went on a 860 km trip with 4 occupants. Took only 4 breaks in all. Never felt too much fatigue.

The premium charged is for the engine and tranny, I suppose. I hope its there for my grandchildren to use.

Overall a handsome package.
