ONE IMORTANT INFORMATION - DONT BUY HONDA CITY IF YOUR CITY HAS ONE DEALER, And U cant trust a HONDA MAN


I had booked a car with Sundaram Honda, Chennai (BELIEVE IT OR NOT SUNDARAM HONDA is a company of TVS GROUP) yeah the famous TVS Group, people in the south have high regards for TVS company towards TRUTH, FAITHFUL, RELIABLE & their business ethics are know in chennai...... ..... , I was taken on a ride.


On confirmation of delivery my family & me awaited for the vehicle on the day of GURU PORNIMA, our guru SAI BABA day, a very auspesious day in our hindu calender, having prepaid the representative with a Banker cheque, I was promised the vehicle the choosen day. To my finding the cheque was not deposided and was lying with the sales team and was not presented to the company at all. Hence at 1 PM I got a call that the vehicle will not be delivered, although I had given the cheque earlier day they had forgot to deposit it.


Their failure to response made me to cancel the order, and asked the to return the undeposited cheque back.


2 of honda employs came to my residence pleading & forcing me to take the vehicle ’cause they were losing the job for a mistake of their own. Then the Business Head pleaded & the sales manager pleaded ......... thereafter every other man pleaded that their job was at stake.... emotional touched I decide to opt for CITY on a later day, on a condition that I would get good service at latter dates with an offical letter, a kind of promisory note from them.


On checking my vehicle I was SHOCKED it was more a used Vehicle instead of NEW.......my GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE I had paid 8.9Lacs to get a used SHIT. (Sorry for the provocative words)


I spoke to HONDA, sent a FAX to sundaram Director, NO RESPOND. I THINK HONDA HAS NO SAY IN THE SOUTH. The complete south lobby of HONDA CARS is managed by sundaram.


I KNEW THEY ARE GOING TO SCREW ME NOW because I am comming back to service with them..... AND they have already started to at my first service

ADDON TO MY REVIEW: G-Raptor asked "Who did I know my vehicle was USED?


My first delivery date was 11th July 2006 it was a tuesday, which was then posponed it to friday 14th July 2006. On 13th I spoke to the sales manager to inspect my vehicle so that it could be delivered on friday morning 9.00AM. I had gone to their showroom.


I was shocked to see the inside was a real mess, all the four door fabrics were dirty with marks, and totally faded fabric, It was very dirty towards/near the window glass area and new at the bottom side. I had also earlier mentioned it that I would not take any display piece at all, as VTEC does not sell much in chennai it is the EXi & GXi which sells, hence I presumed that a display piece was given. In the visinity I saw more that 5 other new cars which were to be delivered the same day or the next..... mine was the most sabiest car in the lot. The most shocking thing was when the sales manager said my behaviour the otherday (Tuesday) was rough ’cause I was expecting something free from them, I bet after paying 8.9Lacs he expect i’m going to enjoy his 1-5K of free goods. He just blew my fuse else is history...... I wished I had gone for some other vehicle, I had informed to Honda the matter which is redirected to Sundaram, and the last time the Business Head personally said he would see to it that the whole area is cleaned up, he didnt look into the matter, and when I went to collect the vehicle did i understand that no work was done and when I complained using some all purpose spray they tried their best to clean, they failed. Now they they claim that there is a defect in the fabirc , the same fabric is used on the seat cover it has not faded there, why? I have all proof duly signed every information has been provided to Sundaram and I have got copy signed from them, I posses the record, no reply from them when time come I would hoist on the net these records would be real threat to them.


ONE INFORMATION I WOULD LIKE TO MENTION THE VEHICLE WAS GREAT AND A REAL DRIVING PLEASURE, except there was slight sound from the suspension, BUT THEN 10% GOES TO VEHICLE & 90% TO SERVICE if there is no good service its a total waste of having the vehicle. I had upgrade it from my 5 years old ACCENT the vehicle was GOOD but their service at Hyundai Motor Plaza was excellent. Its almost 10 days since I have purchased the CAR i’m not at peace and totally confused. For ME upgading from ACCENT to HONDA was a pleasure and VTEC was a fancy. I’m missing my ACCENT. I guess if this was dream.

After all these HONDA SIEL Approched me, my final mail to them,


Dear Mr. ’X’   Thankx for taking care to my matter, although having purchased a new car I’m forced to compromise. Earlier I was forced to buy the vehicle because your distributor employees were losing their job. As I have taken serious note of the vehicle I have found the fabric in my vehicle to be dirty compared to what I had seen in the other vehicle a day before this vehicle was Delivered, it seems to me a Used or display piece vehicle has been delivered. Your Honda representative at Chennai have take photographs and are trying to prove that it is similar to other new vehicle supplied, if that is so then you have a serious manufacturing problem which need to be taken notice immediately. Although I could have challenged your company in the court and or consumer court. But at this stage I prefer to leave the matter as it is, incase of any deficiency in the service to my vehicle at your distributor service centre will force me to open the grave and I would be forced to take legal action against your company. Hereafter I request your representative not to disturb me because the matter is not heading to any dimension, I have no time to explain the matter to one and all. Anyway I’m getting these area cleaned by an outsider. Once again I thank you to consider me with this opportunity of owning a HONDA not new atleast a used or display piece car. I request you to please acknowledge by mail that there would be no setback in the service. let me conclude this matter here.   Thanking you in anticipation
