Have been driving the Civic A/T since November 2010.Writing this review for benefit of people who have misconceptions regarding mileage figures of Auto transmission cars.My vehicle has run for 25000 Kms so far.I do a lot of highway trips.I have travelled by car to as far as Chattisgarh /MP from
Bangalore.
Average Mileage figures reads 13.6 KMPL so far.I have stopped measuring mileages a few months ago (using tankful method).I get consistent mileage figures of 15-16 Plus on Highway driving.The
best ever mileage figures I have got is 19.05 KMPL under ideal driving conditions (between 2 AM - 6
AM when there is very less traffic on the highway which enables almost braking free driving at a constant speed of 80 KMPH, 1500 RPM) and ideal driving style.I hope to crack the 20 KMPL mark
some day.
Honda engine is a gem and remains maintenance free as long as the car is well taken care of and sedately driven.A/T is a boon on long drives( especially on Ghat terrains) as much as it is for city drives.Makes the journey absolutely strain free.
