Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched a new top-spec variant of the Honda Dio, called the Dio Deluxe. It is priced at Rs 53, 292 ( ex-showroom, Delhi) and is approximately Rs 3, 000 more expensive than the base variant of the scooter. The Honda Dio Deluxe gets a bunch of new features for the extra money such as LED headlamp and a fully digital instrument console. The new four-in-one ignition key is also now offered on the Dio Deluxe. This is the same unit which is used on the Grazia. the 2018 Dio now gets a BS IV compliant engine and the auto headlamp on ( AHO) feature.
The Honda Dio scooter now gets new graphics on the body, which make it look much funkier. The front apron has been slightly tweaked and the scooter now gets a dual-tone colour scheme as well. As far as equipment is concerned, the new Dio gets a mobile-charging port under the seat, a V-shaped LED light on the top of the front panel and a re-styled instrument console as well. The new Dio scooter also gets Honda's patented combi-braking system, tubeless tyres and a slightly wider seat. But the one thing that took us by surprise was the omission of telescopic forks up front and the non-availability of disc brakes even as an option.
Honda Dio Engine Specifications & Transmission
The 109.2cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine powering Dio is good for maximum power of 8bhp at 7000rpm along with peak torque of 8.91Nm at 5500rpm.Mated to a V-matic transmission, Dio is claimed to offer top-speed of 83km/h. Moreover, the HET technology equipped engine is claimed to deliver impressive mileage.
