Honda launched Dio after much fanfare and heavy advertising. but what is the product? it is a total flop show. It may look ’’different’’ and HOnda thinks that because its honda a different looking scooter will be immediately accepted by Indians as a good scooter. But the Dio has many flaws that cant be overlooked:
The integrated footrests for pillions are very uncomfortable, your feet stick out and its most dangerous also.
The headlamp is a glaring flaw. If you buy the Dio, please never try to ride it in the dark ebcause you ll surely have an accident and die. since it does not turn with the handle and is not powerful enough that it will illuminate the road without turning, surely it is too unsafe.
mileage of Dio is poor. Two of my friends bought it and are regretting that they get mileage of only 25- 30 kmpl. In fact to these same people I had said you should buy Kinetic Nova, its damn good but they wanted some jap thing and are now repenting.
Storage space is poor.
ground clearance is low and the vehicle scrapes on all speed bumps.
OVERALL a bad and useless product that nobody should buy. Let these japs learn not to dump just any vehicle in India. We are one of the largest 2 wheeler market in the country and the unique needs of our consumers must be taken into account.
anyway the market has also declared Dio a flop. So its not just me. And when a vehicle is a flop its spares etc always become a problem.
