Honda Dio (Value for Money)

Let me share my experience with Honda Dio. This is my first 4 Stroke Moto Scooter. I had the pleasure of owning several bikes and cars over the years.

The vehicle is good looking and is sold with attractive colors. The Dio has a similar engine to that of the Honda Activa except that the entire body is fibre and weighs less. The advantage is more mileage.

I was sick and tired of filling petrol to my 2 Stroke Yamaha RX100’s, Kinetic Hondas and other vehicles. Now I understand how nice the fuel economy is in a 4 Stroke vehicle. So mileage is good.... around 40 plus.

The honda people have introduced a seat that looks unique. Ofcourse, it is broad but when you travel continuously for hours. Its not all that comfortable :) Hard seats.....the soft seats would have been better.

For someone who has driven a 2 Stroke bike or scooter that zooms like a rocket earlier may be slightly dissappointed as the Honda Dio lacks initial pick up. What I mean is, you cant zoom from 0-60 instantly like you do in Yamaha RX-100. Fair enough for a 100 CC 4 Stroke Air cooled Engine for this price but it could still have been made better.

I other thing I didnt like in this vehicle leg rest is not ergonomically designed for people who sit behind. Kinetic honda, Access 125, Honda Activa and all these vehicles have leg rests which you can adjust..... But the Dio comes with a permanent fixed leg rest that is no where near the rear seat and is quite uncomfortable.

The Mirrors could still have been designed better for good viewing. If driven continuously on bumpy and bad roads, the vehicle may start rattling sounds here and there. However, that can be fixed using thermacoal pieces. The suspension is good for its wheel base.

Overall, I would definitely say, the vehicle is good and I am satisfied with its performance. Happy and safe Riding everyone!!!!

Best regards,
