Got the Dio in june from a prominant dealer in Secunderabad. I have been lookig for a gearless scooter for my wife. we were considering activa and Dio. Dio won the test on its looks. Its aerodynamic body design and light weight (about 12KG lighter than Activa) also gave advantage over activa. Dio has got good pickup, comfort at riding and good looks. Before first service the mileage was 46. Now its a round 50-52. Offcourse the mileage depends on driving habits, roads etc.
some cons of dio.. not every helmet fits into the under seat storage.Most of ladies hand bags do fit in. The hight and width of the seat make it unconfortable, to the people with short legs, as they cannot rest their feet on ground.
Follow the simple riding habits, accelerate slowly, do not use brakes while accelerating and dio should give good service. Good for men and women to commute between home and office.
Update : After 13000 KM
Am hapy to add that Dio is doing well after 13200 km in 13 months time. I got the last free service done a week ago. In all the four servce the only money I spent was for engine oil change. The dio has come through two rainy seasons that is the time when theb roads go bad to worse. Have been riding a lot in the city. The milage is about 45. It does seem to go down to 39-40 after a 4-5 weeks of servicing. However its up when I got it servcied the next time.
Coming to complaints .. It showed starting problem last month when rains began but I came to an understanding with it.. pull the choke try 2-3 time it starts up. if it does not start after 2 tries just wait 20-30 seconds and try again.
