I bought my dio in 2011(old model). I chose it because I needed a hassle free automatic scooter for carrying luggage and my brother could also use it. I’m impressed by its boyish looks. It has good performance also with regard to its 102 cc engine. Now it has done 9800 kms. I’m getting fuel efficiency of 40 kmpl overall & that’s not bad for a gearless scooter. Under seat space is good. Now coming to the cons, it’ not meant to ride with a pillion coz the seating position is really awkward with no rear footrest. The brakes are a let down and honda definitely needs to improve this. Ride & comfort are average and suspension needs to improve. One other thing that really annoys me is its starting problem.
I need to engage the choke whenever I’m starting it, it wont start if the engine is not warm. One problem which developed recently was the vibration of its front panel which couldn’t be rectified by service centre. So I’m not actually satisfied with the vehicle, but if u want a stylish, value for money gearless scooter to take u to near destinations with luggage & no pillion, go for it..
