This is Richa Gupta from Gurgaon. I am a Honda customer and own a Honda Dio motor bike. I had a minor accident in Oct 2008 and after that I have been facing regular problems with my Bike. The Bike did not start either by the Auto-start or by kick-start.
A Honda person named Deepak visited my place, changed some part worth Rs 1000/-(I dont remember the name of the part) and assured me that my bike will work fine.
But after 2-3 days I got the same issue. Again a person from Honda visited my place. He did something and the bike got started but again after 2-3 days , the same problem is back. Every time the Honda person visit my place , I have to pay him service charge. The issue keeps reoccurring.
According to that Guy , I can start my bike using the kick because battery is not charged so auto-start will not work. But to start the bike using kick is not easy for me. Honda Dio is a heavy bike and being a lady , it is a tough task for me to put it on stand and then start using kick.
I took my bike to a Honda service center, Ganpati Auto, Gurgaon for repairing all the damages, which my Bike had during the accident and to repair the auto-start system of the bike. My bike stood their for a month and when I went there to take it, it again did not get Auto-started. The excuse given was that the bike was not in use for a long time so the battery is not taking the load. They started the bike using the kick and assured me that when you drive it enough the battery will be auto-charged and then auto-start will work fine. But the problem did not get resolved. Auto-start was still not working and when my cousin tried to start using the kick , the kick got stuck.
After all this, I lost my patience and called the Honda service center frustrated and asked them what the problem was. Why are they not able to diagnose the exact problem with the bike? A Honda person again visited my place and replaced some part of the kick and started the bike using the kick and asked me to take it again to service center so that they can fully repair my bike. After 2 days , I got my bike back on 26th Feb 2009. They even recharged the battery of the bike to make sure that auto-start will work fine. But the issue is not yet resolved. Auto-start is still not working. My cousin helps me to start the bike using the kick start .
I went to the market on 28th Feb and the bike stopped in between and after that it has not started . I and my Cousin had to drag it to home at 10 PM as we could not find any repairing shop open. I would not be conformtable the bike alone until it is actually working fine otherwise if bike stops somewhere on the road , how will I drag it to home? :(
*The whole experience with Honda service center is very bad and I want to bring this to higher management and want some serious action to be taken. It has been approx 5 months and I have spent more than 4000/- Rs. But the problem is still the same. My Bike does not start.
Can any of you provide me Honda Production Manager id so that I can forward my concern to him ?
