After a survey of more than three months and test driving most of the cars in 10 -15 Lakh range, zeroed in on Honda Jazz CVT automatic. The cars short listed were Creta, ford Eco sport and Honda city. Creta was very good but out from the list due to the premium cost. Final selection was made between the other three cars based on TD experience and opinions of known users. The factor that attracted me towards Honda jazz was the spacious interior and mileage 19 kmpl which is better than its manual counter part. Features available at this price point was not available in any other car. Driving experience This is my experience after using the car for more than one month(750 km). Driving Honda CVT is butter smooth. No noise felt in the cabin. Torque and power is good enough for sedate driving though it is only 1200 CC engine. This model may not be suitable for aggressive driving. Mileage- I have used the car only in city. so far haven t made any long trip. Initially up to two weeks, I was getting about 10-11 kmpl in city conditions. Once accustomed with the CVT and understood the economic driving practices, now getting 12.8 kmpl in city driving. My previous car wagon R was giving 13-14 kmpl in same conditions. Mileage depends on driving habits. Hope to get 17-18 on highways.
