I recently tested Honda Navi, before it hit the showroom there was a lot of talk and anticipation of this scooter which looked different and was from a Giants like Honda.
Also it raised the eyebrow when there was speculation that this scooter/bike will be really cheaper as compared the Activa 110CC.
So I took this bike for a test ride, Yes I would not mention Scooter cause it very much gives a feel of a bike.
The first impression is its weight it is much lighter, the sales person told me that it has the same engine of Avtiva 110 and the same size tyres. So I knew I would not go to the technical details of the bike cause most of the people sometime or the other have riden Activa.
I started the ride, now I can listed Engine very much sounds like Activa, however there is a feel good factor while riding, it has a good road grip and monovouring was easy in traffics which is sometime difficult with Activa. Now when I closed saw the tachometer, there was no fuel gauge now are they kidding me, How are we supposed to know when it needs a refill is Honda expectating us to keep a track of the km we traveled. But I forgot that cause it was so smooth to take a u turn, turning radius is fantastic.
There is a small area above the engine, it is like a boot area to keep small bags, it is not all big. The mirror was also not correct, it might be cause of a Test bike.
Overall I felt, Honda were planning something and end result was something else, bit confusion very part of the customer they were targeting. Other then the looks there is nothing say " WOOW".
Bit disappointed, when Honda has give use something like Unicorn and Activa.
