Hi I bought a Honda Shine 125 Drum, Self on 19th apr 07, now its done 700KMs. The pickup is good and not the best, the smoothness of the engine and riding is excellent, I drove only bet 30-50 kmph only a few time I tried upto 70( not done the first service so I didn’t try more) it is so quiet in 50kmph and making little noise above 60. Many time I felt that it is in 3rd gear even if it is in top gear I feel honda would have provide one more gear level for better long riding, I took my mom to somewhere that time she complaints about the suspension is little hard but as a rider could not feel that. I use only power/super/speed petrol and it gave only 50Kmpl till now may be it could increase after the first service.
ve - Smooth Engine, Suspension, Pickup, Milage, Handling, Light is so good, finally the price tag is very good(compare to Hero Honda Passion)
ve - Noice in 60+ kmph, lack of 5th gear, no trip meter, the indicator neck is hard - it should be flixible to withstand small hits, the fule cap is indipendent which we have to hold it while filling the fuel.
Definitly its the best Bike for local commuting, Ppl who used to go for long drive may prefere Honda Unicorn / Pulsar.
