I am one of the most hefty sportsmen who habitually rides a bike for more than 40 km each day in life. As I love to travel by bike to regular duty to my office which is located far in 20 km from my residence, I did a lot of research to buy the best bike which suits to my needs and gives good economic efficiency besides its best competency. At last, I purchased the Honda Shine bike as the Honda company changed the UNICORN model slightly with more sportive and male looks.That’s was the day went so pathetically with a wrong decision I ever made in Life.
The Honda Bike was best at it’s stunning performance for more than eight months and three servicing periods and but later radially downed it’s performance with a lot of issues which the servicing team at their show rooms neglected. I implored many times at different serving locations and different engineers at Honda showrooms. They simply bluffed until the free servings are over.
I even complained to the company which again forwarded to their service manager. And the service manager simply discarded the complaint stating that the Bikes brakes are perfect.
Whenever I approached another best private service engineers, they all detected the problem with out my assertions and they discovered the fact that the company ahs bluffed me by giving a defective bike and the more the worst service. I regretted many times for buying a Shine from Honda company.
Here are the issues detected in the Shine bike many of our friends and myself:
Brakes Drum Failure - need to change the complete back wheel with in three years of purchase or 18 to 20 km.
Chain Stretch Loose and Noise - (they refute it that it is the common feature of their shine product)
Back tier Skidding when apply brakes on wet roads. (the most dangerous feature of the bike - a defective design)
4.Vibration - every body’s complaint, lower body gets numb paralysis soon if it continues...
Battery liquid leakage and strains on the engine due to it easily one can identify that it is shine by looking at the strains lower the battery.
Worst engine noise at the speed of 60 km.
Worst pick up at its performance when you have someone in your back seat.
The only things considerable:
If you drive it below 30 km it is a superb bike at the brakes also function little better.
it gives mileage one day at the 60 to 68 km after free servicing are over and after the duration of one year of purchase.
good pick up whine drive single. but the worst if you have some on in the back seat.
I don’t want you guys just simply be cheated by this worst manufacturers. Honda can never gain it’s integrity in the two wheeler market. I would suggest you go for Hero Honda Glamour or Discover if you are looking for the alternatives.
If you still insist on Honda Shine, you will regret.
